Delwyn Goodrick, PhD, is a psychologist who has worked as an academic and as an evaluation practitioner for the past 25 years. She has extensive experience teaching evaluation and social research to academics and public-sector practitioners.
After working as an academic for ten years Delwyn joined the Department of Human Services to undertake program evaluations of health programs and projects. While in that role, she initiated the establishment of an evaluation support unit to coordinate and strengthen both internal and external evaluations.
For the last 15 years, Delwyn has maintained her own evaluation consultancy practice. She supports organizations in development of evaluation frameworks, and conducts evaluations of small and medium-sized programs and policy initiatives. She also offers workshops to enhance the capability of public sector workers in evaluation. Del’s facilitation style is interactive and participative, and she balances theory with practical activities.
Delwyn regularly presents 2-5 day workshops to a range of public sector agencies in Australia, including, the Department of Education and Training, Department of Environment and Heritage, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Queensland Health, Southern Health, Multicultural Affairs Queensland, Legal Aid Queensland, NSW Health, and the Victorian Department of Justice.
She also offers research and evaluation programs for the academic sector through the New Zealand Social Statistics Network (NZSSN), and The Australian Social Research Institute (ACSPRI) and has been contracted to conduct specialist research programs by a number of universities.
